Hello! My name is Beth and I’ve been working as a translator since 2017. Over the years I have honed my specialism in the technical sector through experience and training, and have also added specialisms in IT and marketing. Translation allows me to combine my passion for languages, puzzles and learning and I work hard to ensure that my translations are accurate, informed and clear.

Translation
I take a comprehensive approach to translation and will dedicate time to researching the subject area and terminology of your document until I am confident that I understand the topic well enough to write a technically sound translation.
Editing
I also offer editing services, checking existing translations against the original text for grammatical and terminological accuracy, making relevant changes to language, tone and style according to the target audience and text type.
Proofreading
Proofreading involves checking an English text purely for grammatical and terminological accuracy, but unlike editing does not involve revisions to tone and style. This could be a translated text or a text that was originally written in English.

Technical
From user manuals to safety signage, it’s important to use the correct terminology consistently throughout your company. I’ll make sure your technical documents are translated accurately and in an appropriate style for the intended audience.
IT
Translating software is much more than strictly literal translation. It’s about finding the most suitable and uncomplicated translation for software and hardware, instruction manuals and user guides.
Marketing
Whether press releases, marketing emails or company newsletters, I’ll make sure that the meaning and intended effect are conveyed through continued use of idioms and puns, alliteration and other literary devices.
